![]() Good work Wood. Also on the bubble, I would say:
OG Boyko OG Clark WR Geremy Davis Also, I'm really wondering if they keep Derek Watt, unless they're going to really use him. If this Jackson kid is a half decent blocker, use both him and Gordie in the backfield. Better yet, use Cantrell as a dual threat FB to block for Gordon or Jackson, as TE or WR. I'm thinking they can put Cantrell in H-back mode a lot, put him in motion either to block or to run short routes. Many possibilities here.

![]() thanx for that woodeye.... was just about to ask someone to do one up, and....
think there's a coupla few more that might have their hands full retaining their roster spot: Michael Davis, Whitney Richardson, Damion Square, Jaylen Watkins, Adrian Phillips.... chances are we're gonna get another coupla few FAs in here, not to mention there is some talent in our UDFA pool.... namely @DT and in the defensive backfield. ps. think it would be a mistake/hasty decision to jettison Pulley, and unless we need to make room for a higher priced vet FA, would be a bit surprised to see them move on from TB ?? |

![]() Are we also guessing on which ones get hurt in TC and are lost for the season.
I love the Chargers, but we normally look like someone should tell the Bad News Bears to play the lottery. |

![]() I really like the depth on that roster.
Remember the time the Chargers were in big trouble when Liuget was hurt? This time is over. Finally, maybe someone on that roster can push Barksdale away...

![]() I won't quibble with Philon over Justin Jones. But I would expect Jones to earn a starting spot fairly quickly.
I do disagree with you on Verrett starting over Trevor Williams. Trevor Williams did a great job last year developing into a very good CB. I don't think Verrett is ahead of Williams on the depth chart. I also strongly disagree that Mike Williams is ahead of Tyrell Williams on the depth chart. Based on what? Mike Williams has accomplished nothing, has proven nothing. Yet. Tyrell Williams is a thousand yard receiver. How do you put Mike Williams ahead of him? Based on draft position? |

![]() Let them compete for starting spots. You're right Mike Williams has got something to prove other than staying healthy. Does he have a grasp of the offense? Can he dominate and use his size to make catches in passing situations 3rd and long/ redzone? If he gets hurt again, we have Dylan Cantrell who is available for those targets.
Justin Jones has a veteran in Mebane to soak up how to play 3T and be a pro. If he moves up, I like his low center of gravity and power. Pair him with Philon and just let our team speed on defense swarm to the ball. I think you will see plenty of gang tackling this season. Last edited by ltinabottle; 05-01-2018 at 03:25 AM.. |

![]() Thanks for the feedback...that's the idea.
This is intended as a visual...a rough draft...a starting point. Here's what we got to work with so far. Some of this is based on comments by our decision makers. I am sure some things jump out at y'all. There are weak points, right where prospects were leapfrogged who you wanted. |

![]() Getting a fresh Liuget back for the final 12 games will be bigger than you think. Letting the youngsters get reps in the first 4 games is big as well.
