Postseason??? Different story.

Novak was reliable for several seasons as well.
Nick the Kick was very reliable and accurate. But he didn't have a very strong leg. Remember his kickoffs? He could barely reach the opposite goal line.

Perhaps Sturgis can be the anti Kaeding ... bad in regular season and perfect in the post season!

Coach Lynn said the team signed Michael Badgley as a “security blanket” just in case Caleb Sturgis can’t play on Sunday.

Lynn said the team worked out three kickers yesterday, including Roberto Aguayo. Said Badgley had a really strong workout and impressed everyone.

Lynn stressed that when healthy, Sturgis is a really good kicker who has ranked among the best in the league in critical situations.

That would be R-R-Roberto Aguayo...well, apparently, the Bolts think Badger has more upside...

Maybe we should contact Wide Right Richey and Steve Christie, if we're going to carry two kickers again.
Nate Kaeding was our best regular season kicker.

Ah, I posted reply after reading Mopar Mark's post. Didn't get any further until now.

Per Wikipedia, he is "the most accurate kicker in NFL history at 87% (180-of-207) at 87% (180-of-207)."

I'm not sure if the stats include the post-season, in which he wasn't nearly as good. Either way, that's a hell of a percentage.

I'm starting to think Sturgis has something on Lynn and/or TT... That guy is like Teflon for some reason.

Because Bagdley is a lot better than him....

Im thinking this will go a long way to fixing our kicker situation. He was one of 2 kickers in the draft that was supposed to be really good.

We'll see....
