Lucky you (ski and Tom). It's like 94 degrees outside. Too hot to be out there.

I know exactly how far it is since I have a 5 mile loop that I walk or run.
Five miles each way is ten miles, which is too far IMO for a kid to skate.

30 minutes? You're dreaming

CT has already explained that he was being towed by a large dog, so that explains it.

Also, since I'm about 95% sure I will live there after college, I kind of like the idea of being somewhere else before I do that.
Could be a good "test run" but I hear ya.

You've got a good head on your shoulders, this indecision or graduation goggles, as you put it, is only a small speedbump. You will be able to make the most out of where ever you end up. At least I think you can.

Give it some real thought, make a decision, and then throw yourself at it full bore. <---- if we were in Mexico, that would be legal, and I'd have a beer with ya there.

He mentioned that his state has a special deal where he gets in-state tuition as some schools in Colorado, I think.

The guy is a complete blast to hangout with, albeit that is few and far between for me and him because of location. He's 40 now, and really having a tough go of it lately. Similar to some of things NM has been saying, he has some regrets that he get get stuck dwelling on.

If done correctly, I really think a change of location will do him wonders, I really do.

Edit- I golfed yesterday, it was stinking hot, but a good time. Shot 86 but made some much better swings, so I'm pretty happy with that, for now.
I just remember you saying that you planned to win your green fees.

What is your friend's specialty?

CA can be tough and expensive. That's the main reason people leave.

Well, I'm in the lab at work now. I won't regret it if I can come away with an accomplishment. Wife is not happy.

She made a pretty decent carne asada dish before I left home.

Didn't even see this. You are right.

It's actually every western state that does this. I don't know at what point they start to consider it "West," but there is a thing called Western Undergraduate Exchange Program (WUE).

All Western States have WUE Schools, but not all Western Schools are WUE. Some WUE schools would take a Western student at in state tuition cost, but most just give a discount. CU Denver only discounts it, so I would be paying $19k (discounted from like $28k or something). I can go to UNM for something like $9k, and I'm currently paying like $8.5k at NMSU (actually 9 this semester).
