In his sophomore year which ND switched to the 3-4 Te'o had 133 tackles and 9.5 tackles for loss. He recorded 21 tackles in one game. His junior year he had 128 tackles, 13.5 for loss and 5 sacks. His senior year stats although lower in tackles and tackles for losses actually impressed more because of the 7 ints and 11 pass deflections. Yes he's behind a good line but I give him props for adjusting and translating his talent into other aspects like pass coverage. I wouldn't be too mad if we draft him despite likely being a reach. He's however probably one of the safer picks imo. If we follow up with a good OT that slipped into the second round I'd be stoked. This whole scenario isn't likely but I think whichever team gets Te'o will get a starter.

He has also never shed a block in his entire career. He's an average athlete if that in NFL standards, and has no shot of playing in a 34. Honestly, he's bordering on soft with how he plays. He may be a starter for a while, but i dont think that he's going to anything better than average LB in the NFL...

if joeckel, lewan, and fisher are all taken before we pick, there will be one of the top pass rushers available.

anywhere from 10-13, depending on if any teams in the 6 win group win this week. I'd probably say 11 or 12, 13 is the highest we could possibly pick.

Im actually really not upset about a lower pick this year, as long as its top 15-20. The talent level from pick 4 to pick 20 is shockingly similar, only 1 or 2 elite players in this entire draft, but TONS of talent and there will be 1st round talent available in the 2nd round for most years.

Oh come on. I don't think we need him, but come on. I don't care if the blocker was falling down and had grease on his hands, surely he has had one shed ?

crazy talk

Manti Teo soft?

Seems like a physical linebacker to me.
