Agree. It's a weakness. Chargers reportedly interested in taking Taven Bryan at #17. Philon has the athleticism, but not necessarily the strength, instincts & hand fighting skills. He was more of an end at Arkansas & more comfortable in space. He was raw & emotionally immature; that is why he fell to round 6. It was said that he had the worst interview ever at the combine: combative. That was before the LSU running back shattered the record this year.

Maybe he's finally put things together.

Philon is a good backup at DE & 3T as a rusher. Playing the run? Hard to say. He hasn't been but still young.
