Default Ereck Flowers

Giants were rumored to try and trade him for a mid-rd draft pick but had no takers. Probably trying to get a 3rd or 4th for him.

Would like to see the Chargers make a proposal of a conditional 5th Rd 2019 pick.

Only 24 years old. Has 46 NFL Starts. 6'6 330.
Was not that great as the Left Tackle, would likely perform better at Right Tackle. But he has experience on the left side.

If he makes the 53 man roster, Giants get a 5th Rd pick.

If he starts 8 games or more, that pick becomes a 4th rd pick.

If he doesn't make 53 man roster, Chargers don't owe Giants anything.

The Giants Oline is arguably worse than ours, we don't need him.

He will not be pursued by the Bolts. He is big/powerful but lead feet and bad fundamentals.
Look at our oline, especially the additions since AL became HC, athletic, easy body movement, able to pull, climb to second level, and good feet.

The guy would be better off working for the NY transit authority as a turnstile....

Couple things...

He looks the part of an RT in height and weight....

But the problem is that he doesn't want to play RT. Even if he did, we don't even know if he can switch sides. Lastly... I heard that his own teammates don't even like this kid. That's not a good sign.

If the Giants cut him, which I can easily see them doing... and he clears waivers... I'd say bring him in for a workout. If he passes the eyeball test and doesn't sound like he will wreck the chemistry, then I'm ok with adding him to the competition.

He is only 24.
Last season he was improved.
During a 9 game stretch, he was the only tackle in the NFL that didn't allow a sack between week 3 through week 11. 359 pass blocking snaps.
And 0 false starts all of last year.

I just think adding a 24 year old with 46 starts who just had an improved year and graded higher than Barksdale is worth trying to get on a conditional draft pick trade.

He is worth the risk because I don't think he has hit his ceiling on how good he can be yet.

And he has much higher upside for his future than Barksdale.
