![]() I went to a Padres game in April, 2011, and some guy hassled me for wearing a Chargers jersey (I'm kind of large, so I wear what fits). The comment was, such wear was for Qualcomm. I was in a mellow mood, so I said not much. However, I felt like standing up, and saying, I recall when it was San Diego Stadium, and had been following the Padres since 1969, so I could wear any damned thing I wanted. His intent was friendly, so I let it go.
One unrelated thought: you know you're a San Diegan when you've stepped on (and been spiked by) a Sting Ray. Twice for me: once off of Coronado, July, 1994, and a few years back at La Jolla Shores. Not fun. Last edited by Raider Disliker; 07-05-2011 at 05:39 PM.. Reason: Add comment |
