Not great agains the run? I watched a lot of his film and he was actually quite good against the run.

If you can find a DT that can be a duel threat (run plugger and collapse the pocket) then it makes it so hard to plan against that threat. Most teams get that combo from 2 players (Suh, Donald) or (Brown, Flowers). What if you could get both qualities in one player?

One of the many things we didn't do against the Patriots was bring pressure up the middle on passing downs. Brady hates that pressure up the middle. Brady also releases the ball so quickly that edge pressure rarely comes quick enough... no matter how good your edge.

Those DT's are looking better every day. Wilkins, Brown, and Lawrence could be transformational for our defense.

Who do you like Boltnut? Experts project Derrick Brown's game to be similar to HOF Warren Saap? Is the kid that good? Wilkins looks like he can play DE/DT. Lawrence is a load @ 350 is he the quickest 350 lineman ever?

I really like Lawrence the best. But any of them would do.

Glad he's svelt 350 pounds coming out of college. With NFL training he may put on twenty more pounds?

He's 30 lbs heavier than Reuben Davis who once played DT for the Chargers 24 years ago. Two tons of fun, nickname for him and Shawn Lee played some solid run defense with Seau and crew cleaning up. Draft an athletic ILB to do the same and this defense can take us places.

Dexter @ 28 is tempting.
He has elite size and lateral mobility for his size. This is combined with adequate cardiovascular strength. The guy can give us a lot of snaps on the inside.
