Competed with Bosa and Perry in winning the NCAA Championship just a couple years ago. Great performance in the championship game. He can play under pressure has a big arm and some athleticism. Welcome to LA Cardale.

Per NFL.com draft profile...

He can read defenses...no problems with check downs or decision making.

Cardale has excellent size and arm strength.

The issue is accuracy. Coaching to improve fundamentals, mechanics, including footwork are in order. Patience can be greatly rewarded.

Don't ask me to research who has been successful with 7th rounders, my interest is not that great.
They've actually had solid drafts of late. And this isn't just a Chargers thing, league wide you don't really see talent from the 7th round.

And if you're not willing to give examples to support your take, then don't make the claim. You obviously cared enough to try and discount what I said.

TT has done reasonably well, but the bottom half of his drafting has been nothing awesome, imv.

Of course you don't see prime talent coming from 7th round picks, there is a reason they were chosen though. As you yourself have pointed out, the Bolts have had success with UDFA's over the years, which is moderate proof that talented players can be found in 7th round picks.

I'll try and get your permission before making any grand statements, now that I know you run the place.

Kyle Emmanuel and Jatavis Brown were both solid late round picks and King has been lauded by almost everyone as a steal in the 5th. And again, which team has drafted "awesome" in the late rounds? It's easy to point out our own deficiencies, but when you compare them league wide, they're pretty much on par.

And as far as permission, that's just a tad dramatic . I just don't get the point of taking a stance and refusing to give examples to back up your position. If trying to find successful 7th rounders is beneath you, then don't claim that they're not throw away picks.

Also, why the heck was this thread moved? The running of this board continues to boggle the mind.

The issue is accuracy. Love that. Isn't that the most important thing for a thrower?

Yes. Accuracy is maybe PRs number one trait. Maybe something can rub off.

It is a very interesting pickup. Just reading more about Cardale now... Another reason to get TC going...
