Default The idea behind the “Bolts News” forum
We don’t have any hard and fast rule on how we go about this news section. This is more of an experiment so recommendations are welcomed.

The way I envisioned this section is more for those who only visit the forum every 2-3 days so they can come here and get the latest articles along with everyone’s comments or replies. As you know, during the season, threads fall off the first page of GD in a few hours.

Let me explain a recent change to this section. When we post an article to the daily clips section, news articles, or press releases on Chargers.com an automatic thread is created here. Sometimes an article is already posted creating two threads on the forum, this isn’t a huge deal, as long as one of the threads is eventually merged or deleted. A thread should only be deleted when it has no comments is kind of the rule of thumb. So no need to post “this article is already posted,” in due time one of the mods or I will come by and clean up the duplicate.

So that’s the idea. Please feel free if you run across an article to post it in the GD or here. The ultimate goal is keep everyone informed and I hope this forum can contribute to this goal.

this section of the forum reminds me of a RSS feed, something that site can implement instead of this forum section.

also interesting to find some random news stories on the Chargers

Not sure exactly what your question is but you will find our RSS feeds here: http://www.chargers.com/feeds/

Seriously this forum is the best for news. I don't have to search the web for the latest news, to get caught up I just need to visit here. Thanks bud!

It's little overwhelming with some many links to follow. I do enjoy the updates given on facebook.
And I think the Chargers web site is the best I ever seen!

Use the "New Posts" tab. It will show all the latest active threads.

How do we access the forum from the home/news page? I can find no icon.
