Where is Tavares gonna end up?

I'm hoping for Hoffman to StL.

Let's see if he even gets to FA......

Blues still holding back, but now that the Finals are done, GM's will get serious.

The Russian is a little cray cray, which I love. He goes to work that way, and he plays that way. He deserves this so much. Congrats to the Caps.

Hi Frozen,

So much crazy Senator's actual news (Randy Lee Buffalo incident, Karlsson's wife protection order against Hoffman's girlfriend, Alfie expresses desire for new ownership, MBNA terminates relationship with Senators)... and also many rumours (obviously unsubstantiated) of potential sale of team, Sens debt refinancing, that this is not Randy Lee's first incident, and that the Sens locker room has been toxic for a long time...

It will be an interesting few weeks as we approach the draft and July 1st free agency... Hopefully it provides clearer direction and positive steps forward..

I wonder how other orgs are viewing the Sens right now... I know a lot of people are piling on, so things appear darker than they probably actually are...

PS: Congratulations to the Capitals for winning the Cup.

ChargerTrader, that Karlsson stuff is just too, too bizarre.

Locker room chemistry is shot.

It was not so long ago that the Sens lost in game 7 with a chance to go to the Finals.

Now, someone must be traded.

I don't think it is appropriate for me to make any comments about the situation with the Sens. Based off of news reports, they certainly have their plate quite full, eh ? I think that you might now understand why there was so much talk about trading Hoffman for so long. If these reports are even close to truth, then the room was probably toxic as it can get. I cannot speak for any other club, but here in Montreal we watch all teams with curiosity about possible trades, or moves they might make, and how that could help/hurt our efforts. It will be an interesting decision they make about which 1st rd pick they give, this year's or next, to fulfill the trade they made. It is sad to see these problems, and I hope they find solutions soon.

Yes, very much congratulations to the Capitals.....great season for them !

Agree, it is so bizarre... the rumours were out there of a rift between the players, but this is crazy... And who knows what Hoffman knew about it before he was confronted with evidence...

I guess we have to expect that Hoffman is traded as it would be best for him to move to a new environment and city.

That still leaves large decisions on Karlsson (can they resign him) and how that move impacts the budget for extensions for Ceci, Stone, and Duchene.

Very true Frozen and did not mean to ask an inappropriate question. Just so many dark things at once. Management needs to move forward now and set a positive tone for next season and the future.

The decision on the first round pick (#4 this year, or an unknown next year) will be interwoven with their roster decisions. My personal opinion is that they will keep this year's pick. Even if you know you were going to be the worst team next year (which I am not saying they will be), the draft lottery makes knowing where you will pick a true crapshoot.
