I guess we have to expect that Hoffman is traded as it would be best for him to move to a new environment and city.

That still leaves large decisions on Karlsson (can they resign him) and how that move impacts the budget for extensions for Ceci, Stone, and Duchene.

I just this moment had a conversation with the boss. Yes, he read your post, then chuckled and asked me if I would take Hoffman ? My answer was only if he signed off on any trade.....he then stated Berg would only agree if the fiance wasn't coming along. We laughed.....yes clubs are aware, and moving Hoffman might be tough.

Yes, the team cannot expect full value returned in any trade at this point. He still has value, as he is a proven LW goal scorer signed to a reasonable cap hit value contract for two more seasons. Not a great two-way defensive player and floats a bit in his own zone, but teams would acquire him to complement a playmaking centre.

Montreal trades Galchenyuk for Max Domi.......one for one.

I expected to read much unpleasant comments this morning, yet the intelligence of most fans here in Montreal surprises me once again. People seem to understand this move, well...most do. The enclave in Brossard has not been burned to the ground by the angry mob.....

I thought that this was a very smart tactical move... and I like the two year bridge extension that will give Domi time to establish his longer term future on the team.

Negotiated prior to the trade, and we felt the cost was very fair.

The pressure found in this market can be a benefit, or a curse, we feel strongly that Domi will thrive here.
