Anyone is greater than Pulley, let's be perfectly honest here.

Pouncey is a good pass blocker, but suspect run blocker. I've seen him let up on some blocks resulting in stuffed runs, but it might be the scheme. I don't know. Hopefully Chargers sign him. That would be a big upgrade with Okung, Feeney, Lamp, and hopefully someone in the draft to replace Barksdale in McGlinchey, Wynn, Kolton Miller, etc. Address that RT after signing Pouncey and think this team will build a foundation.

Pouncey is an upgrade on Pulley. We might have to pay a bit up front, but structure the deal to make it easy to get out of in year 2 or 3...a mid round center won't have to be thrown to the wolves year one, or a medical redshirted Price could be a backup year one while he fully heals...I can see him dropping all the way to the third.
So in short, I think Pouncey at worst is a decent stop gap...at best revives his career and gives us 3 or 4 solid years...maybe more.

Are we sure about Pouncey? He replaced the biggest joint of his body, more a pass blocker than run blocker. I say look to the draft and have a younger Pulley (24 years old) guide him and ultimately play behind the next talented center we draft.

Pulley held his own once he started. I didn't see many obvious breakdowns in pass protection ala Watt.
