Firemarshallbill, I believe we are looking to draft a FS with some speed and range, but who can also tackle well.

There will be several of them available in the middle rounds, TTs comfort zone.

Let's see what Gus Bradley can talk TT into.

One of the reasons there is no market for Safeties such as Tre is that there is a lot of speed at Safety in this draft.

Now LAC have flexibility, not needing to sign Tre or draft a Safety, so when/if PON meets BPA at Safety, we will make our selection.
That's what I'm wondering do we draft a safety. Do we try king and Watkins at safety? Verrett would make a great nickel

It would be nice to not have to draft a safety. Maybe TT realized this. It really does give us more flexibility for the draft and Watkins gives positional versatility

Are any of the middle round safeties better than King and Watkins do you think? I think Justin Reid would start over them but he's a second rounder.

Safeties currently look like SS Addae, FS Jenkins. Phillips, Watkins, Hendy depth.
Whether or not we use a high pick on S depends on how Bradley & Lynn feel about Jenkins. He was our first pick on defense last year.

gusD did the tape study on Rayshawn @ .com.

He likes RJ's ability in TE coverage.

That puts him near the LOS.

Addae could survive sometimes at Single High.

The cool thing about Combo Safeties is you can really mix up your coverages.

Headscratcher, sonora...where is TT goin' in this draft?

Watkins is a good fit.
A few safeties that should be targeted in draft because I think the fit the defense very well.
Early targets J.Reid & T.Edmunds
Late targets. T.Apke, N.Jamerson, T.Flowers

Wood, u think the Bolts will swap Verrett for a draft pick? I'd take a second rounder for him, maybe even a third...

I started up a thread on Watkins, and the mods bumped it to this thread...
