Default Cardale Jones

Wanted him last year in the Draft, only give up a 7th rounder. Plenty of time to develop, love the upside

Trade a conditional 7th for a 4th rounder. It's a good trade at the least.

Low risk, potentially high reward. Will be VERY upsetting if Clemens makes the team over him. Incredibly doubtful after investing a 7th rounder in him. Not a lot, but more than we'd ever get for Clemens.

Arm talent is there....
Apparently, jones' only nfl action was the one game that coach Lynn was a "head coach" in, week 17 for the bills last season
Interesting if nothing else

Think they keep both and carry 3 QBs this year

Not so sure. I think that 53rd spot is going to be for someone like Onwualu. Haven't run 3 QB since 2013. I think Clemens making it over Jones is more likely than carrying 3 QBs.

Investing a 7th rounder? Those are complete throw away picks.

How he plays will determine whether or not he makes the roster, not the 'investment'.

That's why I said a 7th rounder was "not a lot," but I still think it shows they're gonna let him develop. Other 7th round trade players stayed around for a bit. Lissemore and Crayton come to mind.

But the "investment" was not what got them on the team, their skill did. That's all that I am saying.

There isn't a GM in any league that would call any draft pick a 'throw away'......

The late round picks are where the great GM's make their legacy.
