Trade him to whom? Have you seen his win/loss record the last three seasons?

What team in the league can look at winning 9 games in three years, and consider it an upgrade worth trading for?

And ultimately, Rivers has to approve any trade. So what do you think Rivers' trade value is, today? And what team do you see PR approving a trade to?
Good point. Rivers has value, but there isn't much need out there. I'd be willing to bet there would be a team willing to take a chance on him. A second round pick isn't unreasonable, but I still think he's worth a first round pick.

Angry Rivers has to do it all - could the rest of us?

Rivers has no other options. The running game is non-existent and has been for the last 2 years. This game was exactly what we've seen the past 3 years......all pass/no run......single back/no back offense.....fall behind early......scramble.

The Defense played very well. They must be getting discouraged because the offense is so predictable that a high school team could defend it.

Are they "the same old Chargers?" Mr. Lynn..... the answer is YES! You haven't changed it. I'd be happy if you tried the " Single Wing", a three back offense....a two tight end offense (who is Hunter Henry?).....anything to make the defense think! It couldn't hurt. We're 0-3!

If this continues, how many key players will leave at the end of their contracts to go to a different team with a winning history ( Bosa and Ingram) and a hope of winning.

Mr. Lynn..... Mr. Telesco.....the ball is in your court. Mr. Spanos and his crew bailed on San Diego because of politics and lack of funding to own a NFL franchise, and have screwed this franchise big time. Sell the team. New buyer....know football and bring the team back to San Diego.

This will be another tough year to endure. Charger fan for life......for the players! Not the OWNERS.

Go Bolts! You've got an uphill battle......every week!

A better question is, is it time to blow this thing up and trade Rivers? I'm serious, something has to change...
PR isn't going anywhere. It was probably hard enough for him and his family to transition from SD to LA. He would veto any trade or retire first.

Lol at this thread.

Oh how quickly people forget how bad Cordale and Clemens are, and the fact that Rivers is one of the few reasons this team had a chance to win in weeks 1 and 2.

Should of bought a Gates Elite jersey instead of that Rivers Elite when fanatics had that huge sale in June lol.

As much as I love Phil I think it's time to seriously draft his replacement. Maybe this whole LA thing is taking a toll on him?

Rivers is over-blamed and over-credited.

He is an above average QB and very streaky.

In magic world we trade him. In real world we suck this year, draft a QB next year, suck again, then start the next QB in his 2nd year.

Pac, I agree Rivers is above average. In the first several years of his career, he was not as streaky as he is now. The past few years, however, I feel Rivers's ability has eroded, along with his patience. Rivers is starting to remind me of the crotchety old man who refuses to go to the doctor, even though everyone can see he's sick. That's Rivers. He refuses to throw the ball away or take the sack and instead keeps forcing the rock into coverage, gets picked repeatedly, and loses us winnable games.

That's a good way to describe him Pacstud.

He is indeed very "streaky"

Just like a streaky NBA shooter. He's either going to be on fire and shoot you into a game. Or he's going to take bad shots on bad looks and shoot you out of the game.

But with that said, Shooters keep shooting..

This is ridiculous. One bad game and we give have to give Rivers "another chance"? Really?
