Fred Taylor isn't a snub.

Mario Williams had 9.5 sacks at the time voting ended. Wasn't that much of a snub.

Nnamdi Asomugha is the biggest probowl snub, Champ Bailey doesn't deserve to go.

Lechler and Andy Lee are on pace to break the magical 40yard net average for a season. Mike Scifres is better at every aspect of punting other than kicking the ball as far as possible.

He might be a snub but it's hard to argue with something that's never been done before.

How so?

Fred Taylor is averaging 5.1 yards a carry, which is better than LT or Willie Parker. Taylor is 6th in yardage (1,091) on only 216 carries (LT has 1,311 on 280 attempts). Considering that Taylor splits time with Jones-Drew, he's numbers are pretty impressive.

Sure, you can make cases for the guys who made it, but Taylor's been in the league for 10 years and has never been to the Pro Bowl, he's being snubbed for sure.

His stats are less impressive due to splitting carries.

Minnesota - 5.4ypc
Denver - 4.6ypc
Cowboys - 4.4ypc
Jaguars - 4.4ypc

Willie Parker and Ladainian Tomlinson are workhorses, Fragile Fred is a mule. Once in 10 years has he carried the load for a team, every other time he either failed or has help. Fred Taylor physically can't fill Willie Parkers shoes thus he is not a snub. The fact that as we saw Jacksonville has probably the second best run blocking line in the league and the Steelers are one of the worst blocking lines period doesn't aid his cause.

Why does it matter how long he's been in the league.

Definitely Mike Scifres! he should have been selected without a doubt.

Scifres is the best punter at putting the ball inside the 10 yard line which is the most important thing a punter can do. Just because you have the longest average just means your offense can't move the ball so you kick farther most of the time. He definitely got snubbed.
