Condolences to the loyal and deep rooted fans of Vegas for tonight’s Home loss.

Ugly game

Both games have been good, but very different in style, but adjustments are to be expected.

Curious as to why you thought G2 was ugly ?

I think it was slower than the first game, which I think favored the Caps. trying to slowing down the game I would also think would make it seems sloppy. Since the guys are not just playing they are thinking more.

enjoyed both games

The best Offense is a good Defense.

Funny, you feel comfortable calling a game you didn't even watch, "ugly".

The Caps played Vegas once, so they really didn't know how the teams matched up. G1 was a feeling out process on Vegas' home ice, which means Vegas gets the matchups they want. Caps essentially tried to skate with Vegas in G1. It didn't work. In G2 the Caps made adjustments that saw them using their speed and size to put on a heavy forecheck styled game. That slowed the Vegas preferred tempo, and created a pass, pass, pass and dump sequence for Vegas, which plenty of fans would find a bit tedious or sloppy. The design was sweet, but Vegas will adjust. G3 will be interesting in that Vegas no longer has last change, and needs to solve the forecheck game they faced in G2.
