How well can he do next season after having 2 operations on the same knee? He and his glass knee should just retire.

Anyone know how much of his 5th year option is guaranteed? I think right before the season we picked it up. He's a talented guy, but never healthy. I think we need to move on if it would save us anything.

Jason Verrett's injury is hardly devastating. Over the course of the four years we have had him he has played in only 25 of a possible 64 games. The guys is never on the field.

Meanwhile his replacement, Trevor Williams, has a PFF grade of 84.9 which currently ranks him as the 7th best CB in the NFL. Yes I realize it's early and Williams hasnt played much but still- The guy has played great so far in Verrett's place.

Verrett is never on the field. Like literally never on the field. It's time for this team to release him and move on to the trio of Hayward, Williams and King.

Tom Telesco's 2014 draft class is a huge black eye on his resume.

Another possibility is that the surgery was successful, but he aggravated the old injury. Unless it's a NEW injury...

Unhappy

Not seeing anything 'official' from the team as of yet, but if true, very disappointing and probably time to move on, sadly.

They say the best ability is availability, even for a talented player like JV 4 yrs is a large enough sample size to make a decision whether to retain or move on.

Go Chargers!

Wow, that sure is the truth:

Bolts Draft 2014:
1. Verrett--great when healthy, but injured so much, he qualifies as an injury bust. On IR for who knows how long.
2. Attaochu--shows flashes at times, but another potential injury bust
3. Watt--couldn't make transition to center, not all that impressive when healthy, often injured, cut by Bolts, out of football. BUST
4. No draft pick--spent to move up to pick just an average player in AttaOUCHu...OUCH...
5. Carrethers--showed some flashes as a backup, cut by Bolts a few weeks ago. Not even on practice squad.
6. Grice--lost backup RB job to Oliver. Cut. Out of football.
7. Reese--the Human Toothpick had the speed, but couldn't crack the starting lineup. Cut.

So, in summary, the ONLY player from the 2014 draft actually playing on the team and is not currently injured is Attaouchu. Sad.
