Default Why? Mr. Mayor....

Does he really have the authority to offer the stadium to the NFL and why would he do it in the first place?
It would make more sense if the NFL tried to play this game in Las Vegas and give their fan base a chance to see what is in store for them.
San Diego owes nothing to the NFL or Spanos and I don't know that a majority of San Diegans would really back this offer.

It has nothing to do with owing Spanos or the NFL. Why not make a couple bucks on that old dump and keep SD in the NFL conversation even if it’s only for a weekend.

I doubt the NFL would bring the Bolts back. It’d probably be more likely if it was the Raiders vs someone else’s. It would be another national embarrassment to see the bolts come back “home” to play in front of 50k Raiders fans.

I also think it was an empty offer to do what you said and keep San Diego in the mind of the NFL. I doubt it would get 50k to the game though, unless they did dollar ticket day...lol

They should certainly be used to playing "away" games at "home" by now. At this point, they should just volunteer to play the London games every year.

NFL announced they'll play it in Oakland. ESPN calls it the 'Relocation Bowl'

Would have been fitting to play the relocation bowl in a neutral site. Who cares about air quality? NFL doesn't care about fan or player safety
