4th Round

I don't want to take one of these guys who had off the field character issues...TT don't play that.

Medical though....Maurice Hurst is gonna have a boulder on his shoulder, and absolutely tear up this league...we can't let an AFC west team get this guy, or we are gonna be eating it for a decade...I trade 5th to move up and get him. Defense complete. JMO

Outside of Hurst, still love Jewell and Kiser and Avery as insurance against Perryman...or as MIKES while Perryman mans the WILL, at least in base packages.

Ian Thomas is intriguing, and sounds like a TT guy who is humble, hard working, and loves football.

Kalen Ballage is a head scratcher...thought he would be gone, and would be a really nice addition to our thin RB group.

Jemarco Jones and the versatile Mason Cole round out my 4th round cluster.

11 - none

In other words, no one of any consequence.

We should take a flyer on Hurst. Downside is he can’t play in which case he will be like 4 of the last 5 4th round picks for TT, or 10 of the last 12 in 4th round picks we’ve had.

Upside is that he is an impact starter.
If Hurst has Marcus McNeil's career, 4 - 5 years and then health fails, it would be a great choice.

Yeah, i don't have the medical - i get that part; but a healthy hurst makes this D top 2-3. It's probably worth the gamble.

i'd love the pick.

Jewell would be nice, a two down linebacker with the Chargers
Kiser is very physical, but way too slow
Avery is not a good mike, he's a very good sam (i still wouldn't mind getting him)
mason cole has already been drafted
i've liked kallen ballage for some time - bad oline at ASU
Prefer Richardson easily to Jemarco Jones - i don't know the extent to Richardson's problems: he may have cleaned them up.

Totally understand what you are saying here, however, I think the downside risk is much more than that. What if the medical staff clear him to play and he unfortunately suffers a serious heart condition in practice or a game. You may be exposing your team, the owners, staff and league to a lawsuit...

Not how it works.....

Player gets cleared to play, every player must take a physical and get cleared, before stepping foot on the ice.

I think Hurst is falling because a club doesn't want to risk a top three pick on a player that could end up playing only a year or two. Bet we see him go in the 4th, 5th at the latest.

Who knows? One thing for sure is that GM's are generally risk adverse. Lael Collins was almost assuredly innocent of murder - great character guy; and yet he dropped to the fourth round. Refuse to sign with anyone who drafted him after that.

Who was the Chargers 3rd round draft that year? It was Watt, Mager or Turk.
