Raiders got him on the cheap. Maybe he'll only get 6-7 mil/year. And I liked Amos from the start. I think he's destined to be top tier. Maybe he only gets $8 mil/year.

I like Shelton but I think he re-signs in NE. Would love if we got him. Kind of a NT in a 3-4. Only has 1.5 sacks in his career. Grady Jarrett, Sheldon Richardson, Ndamukon Suh... there are a lot of good FA DT's. That might push prices down.

Shelton, James, Amos, and White for $20 million would be a steal! If we could swing it, sign me up! I'd rather front load some of the FA signings... Bosa/PR/KA/Ingram contracts are quickly approaching.

Looking forward to your mock. Mine keeps evolving. CMB input is helpful; and I think some of my picks reflect that dialog.
I had them at $10, $8, $8, and $3 million per year respectively @ 70% the first year to backend the contract, and with White being a prove it deal.

I agree on your FA DT thoughts, and it seems there is a lot of talent at DT in the draft so maybe that helps to keep prices reasonable as well.

He is young, ending his Rookie contract. This is exactly where players want their Big Contract. The stage is set for him to enter tier 1 level. You let the Bears go deep in the playoffs, and he's entering tier 1.
And just like that you jinxed them. My Jedi mind trick worked.

Brilliant! I was actually wondering what would happen Amos' stock had he been able to shine all playoff games...

Almost $30 million/year average. You would either have to cut bait on these guys after 2nd year or opt to not re-sign 2 or 3 mainstay players whose contracts expire soon... Bosa/Rivers/Keenan/Ingram.

If you bring the early year portions of these 4 contracts down to $20 mil, you have still used a large portion of the $27 million 2019 cap space.

I'd rather sign fewer FA's and use the remaining cap space to re-sign some of the less costly players that have expiring contracts... Philon, Phillips, Emmanuel, Square. I'd rather do most of my slot-fills with the draft.

Whoever drafts Trevor Lawrence is set. He’ll come out after two more seasons.

Such poise for a 19-year-old.

It's a too bad we're in contention for a SB the next two years, Lawerence would be the ideal replacement for Rivers.
