Does anyone know what the rules are for TC with respect to the hours the players can put in? This is the 2nd year in a row that the Chargers are the last team to report to camp... some teams had their rookies reporting over a week ago. Does this just mean that they are splitting their time more evenly?... or do these teams actually get more time to study film and practice? If it is the latter, then I am bummed. We started slow last year... you would think that we would report earlier and get more work in. Even if there is a limitation to the amount of practice that can occur, if reporting earlier allows one to study the playbook for a longer period of time then it is worth it.

The teams that had their rookies report a week ago (Ravens & Bears) are playing in the Hall of Fame Game which is played one week prior to Preseason Week 1. They are the only teams that could start early. I believe that all of the rest of the teams are reporting this week.

Ninjas has a good link. Under the 2011 CBA, the amount of practice time, full pads, etc. is strictly limited and monitored.

The days of two a days are long gone. Vermeil would be bummed if he we're coaching today. Makes sense given the past research on concussions. Camp 18 is here!

CMB player of the year I'd say Jason hands down if he can survive a full season. Lamp is a good candidate but Verrett has gone through so much he's the favorite for the award.

Rising star...I'd have to say Desmond King. He just makes plays. I don't know how he will fit in the secondary or how many snaps he gets. If he is on the field 3/4's of the season he has good shot of earning this award.

MVP...for me it's Bosa.

Rookie of the year...Mr. James not Lebron but Derwin!
