With Cardale, we might win if he throws it beyond anyone’s reach or simply takes a sack.
Punt and play defense and we can still win.
But this pick 6 stuff is asking a lot of our defense to overcome
I really think you have it figured it. Anthony Lynn just might be more concerned about egg on the face than about winning games. It seems simple enough.

Geno has 29 career TD's, 36 interceptions, and EIGHT of those were pick-6's...oh, and his career QB rating is...72.9%...not good...

As Confucious said, “Real knowledge is to know the extent of one’s ignorance.”

Upon further review
Cardale’s incompletions was either under immediate pressure or no one open or inconclusive.
He was able to scramble out of pressure but couldn’t find anyone open (not saying there weren’t any open receivers) or the one busted screen.
I still wouldn’t be surprised if the “competition” was much closer than people make it out to be.
And if the turnovers are the difference that I think they should be, then I won’t be shocked if Jones ends up with the backup job.

Interesting perception from us may not be what coaching staff thinks about Jones. Will soon find out with the cuts. For someone whose been in the offensive system longer, Jones hasn't made strides this season.

Part of that is coaching...I was real impressed with the Saints 2nd and 3rd string back ups. Coaches had each throwing deep and interesting enough going for two pointers several times last night.

Also, I was impressed with the Saints draft picks the past seasons. Mickey Loomis is another GM whose is an outstanding judge of talent. Amazing what solid talent evaluation and coaching can do for a football team. Saints are ready to make a run at the SB.

For a 2 cent observation... I loved the ball Shimonek threw that JJJ almost caught. Nice arm strength and a pretty rainbow.
