Does the Hardison acquisition make it less likely that Hankins signs?

Can the team cut Mebane? Keeping him around longer than necessary may be holding back the team's potential.

Come to the Chargers Hankins. TT sign him.

No disrespect to Gates, but I would be perfectly fine with that

Would be magic if TT's 2 big signings were our center (Pouncey the road grader) and the center of the defensive line (the beefy DT Hankins).

The CMB Trenchers are irresponsible about future cap implications.

You know TT is gonna go econo and mix n match at DT.

One year show me contract only.

Yes. Still possible but not likely. The fact that TT signed Hardison after talking to Hankins certainly makes it look like Hankins contract demands are not in our ballpark.

Another thing that doesn't help is the California State income tax. It puts teams like the Chargers at a big disadvantage to begin with.

Do you think that they would get some snaps for Hankins at TE?

Have you not noticed the drop off when Mebane is not in the line? It would be stupid to cut him. Even if they can sign a DT that's way better, why not keep him as a backup. He's already signed and knows the defense. I guess I'll never understand why people want to jettison players the minute some other player is interviewed.

Agree. let's get a couple Chargers who out perform at his position consistently first. Mebane is winding down but cutting him now makes no sense at all. I like our #1 redzone D with him in.
