Example 1 His first four games as a HC....we will run the ball, and lose doing it. Takes too long to adjust his thinking, or recognize his thinking is wrong.

Example 2 FG kicker can't get it done....let's keep him awhile longer. Another failure to accept the problem, and fix it head on....

Example 3 ST's coach is blowing it virtually every game with his group. Let's wait until it doesn't matter, then nobody will care.....I won't have to fire my buddy.

I could go on......AL is nothing special, never will be more than average.

The only example that may be considered good is possibly the third one. And that's because the ST coach should have been fired last offseason. Once the season commences, it's difficult to fire midseason without causing more issues. As for the other two examples, let's just say what you're stating is a little misleading. Example#1, for instance, I would recommend rewatching the first four games to see if that actually was true. The Dolphins game, for example, did not have that run run mentality that everyone keeps harping as if it was the truth. And I'm sure that Rivers throwing multiple interceptions against the Chiefs is all about Lynn's stubbornness to the run. It's similar to the whole "run up the middle" nonsense that perpetuated on this board for the longest time.

Didn't see this being discussed anywhere -

From @gmfb Weekend: The #Chargers want QB Philip Rivers, in a career year, to be their starter for years to come and they don't mind drafting a QB and having him sit. https://t.co/tQ7RgwKjMB

Rivers will turn 37 on December 8th. I think he'll will sign a three-year extension & play through the 2021 season. That means he would be playing most of that season at 39. Retiring at 40 would make sense considering he said he doesn't plan on playing as long as Brady.

Versus the Arizona Cardinals marks Iron Man Philip Rivers 203rd consecutive start leaving him only 5 behind Peyton for 3rd all time and only 7 behind Eli for 2nd all time.

I don't see how you draft a QB high and then have him sit for a few years. Lots of cap space with no production. Plus his rookie contract will be up before he plays much. I'd say daft a QB once you know your starter has only one year left.

Agreed.Take the cap and draft to build up the team first.
