His contract may very well have an offset clause. If so, then any money that he receives in his new deal goes to the Raiders to offset the $3.8 million that they owe him the rest of the season.

So, if there is an offset, then heís probably going to sign with the team where he feels most comfortable & has a chance for a ring for a vetís minimum deal for the balance of the 2018 season.

We will have to wait for details.

Nwosu is getting more snaps these days.
Why slow down the development of our round 2 draft pick ?

I'd guess he'll have at least a few interested teams, probably those in playoff contention, I think we've got a shot if the Chargers are interested .... Gus, Mebane, Okung, a familiar 4 - 3 D and our 6 - 2 record might be appealing to him if he wants another shot at a SB ring.

We don't have a lot to spend, but he's getting $3.8mil from the Raiders for the remaining games of this season.

Sign here Bruce! .... M.I. needs a side kick till Joey gets back out there.

Go Chargers!

Worst possible outcome for the Raiders, and the best possible outcome for Irvin.

He can collect his paycheck, and earn an additional salary on top of that with a team of his choosing.

Seahawks, Cowboys, and Packers could use him.

Patriots and Chargers in the AFC could use him, as well.

Probably not a need, but I am guessing that they will evaluate the option.

It's a team building philosophy. Rams are buying there way to a Super Bowl. The Chargers are adding some free agents but for the most part building through the draft. What if Bosa returns and re-aggravates his foot yet again? Do we want to risk playing defense in the playoffs without him? I want all in on a run to the Super Bowl so this makes it a tough decision.

Without a fierce pass rush it be tough to beat high power offenses like the Chiefs Rams or Saints. It's tough enough as it is playing full strength. Irvin can spell for Ingram on some downs and give him valuable rest during the game and as mentioned he's familiar with Bradley's picket scheme. I'm not sure if Bosa will come back and play at this point.

As I had mentioned originally, there was a chance of him going unclaimed. Now the frenzy begins.

I'm guessing the combination of his age, injury, and existing contract were big deterrents at this point in the season, so he cleared waivers.

Will chargers try to push for him? He could be of help if the price is right.
