The defense needs an upgrade in some areas. They have some studs for sure but are still lacking a couple of key players. Some guys that they probably need to move on from: Addae, Perryman.

Offensively it comes down to the offensive line. There's no way that a team with Allen, TWill, MWill, Gordon, Eckeler should look like they did today. The reason they did was because of the offensive line. They were weak all year and it was really exposed today.

Not really sure what the deal is with Lamp but they need to figure out what they have with him. If his injury has made it to where he'll never be the player he was when they drafted him then they need to go heavy on Oline acquisitions in the offseason.

There was always something off with this team offensively all season long. Looked unstoppable at times and then would go a couple of quarters not being able to do anything. It was the Oline mostly.

Positives: The team was 12-4, had some impressive wins and improved from the previous year. Yea it ended badly but they were still one of the top teams in the NFL this year and basically every key player will be back next year. I expect them to be in contention once again and barring injury should be an even more complete team.

Stack up the trenches both offense and defense.

could be better yes but offense and special teams are more of a priority. The defense basically kept them in every game this year and gave them a chance to win.

You have to remember how often the opposing offense was starting with favorable field position due to bad special teams plays. Missed fieldgoals, bad punts, kick coverages, etc.

Offense:

1. Get Rivers an actual good O-line. They wore down as the season went on, especially the right side. The RG and RT are good depth.

2. Get a TE who can catch and block well. Gates has never been a good blocker. Green has never been a receiving threat. Henry is both, but we need depth there.

Defense:

1. We NEED a DT who can provide pressure in the middle and run stop.

2. Cut Addae and sign an actual FS. He sucks as a FS and if you move him to SS again you take away from James being great closer to the LOS. Addae is too expensive to keep as a back up SS.

3. Get a LB who can stay healthy and play at a high level.

Special teams:

1. Get a better punter.

Coaching:

1. Learn how to adjust in game. Goodness calling the same things over and over again on offense/defense and expecting it work is madness.

Look at today. Played a soft zone all game long. Brady just dinked and dunked us. Like they got no burners at WR, what took so long to start calling more man to man/press and blitzes?

Look at the offense. Whiz had no answer to that zero blitz for three weeks. Baltimore called us with us a few weeks back. Then at Baltimore he still had no adjustments vs it. Today Pats just kept blitzing up the center and on the right side.

This team got exposed in the trenches big time. God help us if lamp is a bust because we need to use our first pick on a game ready RT and we need another guard because feeney and scholfield are not good. I wonít call them garbage but they are garbage-adjacent. What can we do in FA? Who is available? Iím fine with letting ty williams go to clear cap space for the OL if someone is available. MW proved himself as a true 2 and with HH back we can afford to develop our younger WRís. But god, that line is bad.

Our punter is good at holding the ball on field goals so as far as Iím concerned letís sign him to a long term deal!

Another reason I also want a better offensive coordinator

Not today. Not when it mattered. This was the worst defensive performance I have ever seen

I’m gonna say OL is highest priority.
Not sure where we are with Lamp as RG, but I’m not sure if Tevi is our long term solution at RT

LB would be next. I hope we bring back Perryman, hope he turned out better than Butler after we extend him.

After that, it’s a toss up...
Jenkins can be our solution at FS.
If Verrett is gone, CB can be a need

Tyrell would most likely signed elsewhere... for money and playing time... even Inman is now #2 on the Colts depth chart. WR depth could be an issue.

DT would probably be fine with Liuget, Jones and Mebane rotating.

Other than that, a Punter who can punt like Scifi, hold, and do kickoff better than Badgley
