And there are DT/NT's that rate even higher...

Johnathan Hankins, Steve McClendon, Sylvester Williams, Sheldon Richardson, Ndamukong Suh, Grady Jarrett, Michael Pierce (RFA), Danny Shelton, Tyeler Davison, Mario Edwards...

Imagine what we could do in the draft if we picked up quality DT and FS in FA...

Nutty, you are really, really earning your nickname...

First, you still proudly display
Connor Williams, a round 2 backup offensive guard,
as your proposed Chargers offensive left tackle of the future. Plus, you do this while trying to tell everyone
that Dalton Risner has slow feet. Many boxes are checked off with Dalton Risner. High floor. Ceiling not as high as some others. That is all.

Now, regarding the boldface,
of course no one knows anything about Mebane's future plans,
other than the fact that he is showing up right now to play football,
indicative of the sign that he still has the football fire burning inside.

It is my judgement call that the Chargers Dline rotation is set INCLUDING SQUARE.

We MAY draft a Base DE who kicks inside, to augment Rochell, or possibly a Pass Rush Specialist.

According to Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline, Kansas State redshirt senior T Dalton Risner received a seventh round grade from scouts.
Risner (6'5/308) has been a Pro Football Focus favorite, but NFL scouts appear to be less optimistic about his NFL future. The tackle will get to compete in the Reese's Senior Bowl, and it's certainly possible that he gets some reps at guard despite playing tackle at Kansas State. The four-year starter was named PFF's top tackle in the 2019 NFL Draft before the season started.

Pass Pro Footwork Ė Easily the biggest area of weakness in his game. I donít know how he thrived in college while consistently false-stepping in his pass set, but he did. False steps with his set foot (outside foot) and will actually slide his post foot first, nearly clicking his heels together as he sets up the arc. Does a good job avoiding crossing his legs, but shuffle slide will have to become a more efficient movement if he stays at tackle. Mostly vertical sets at Kansas State, will need some work on consistently establishing half-man on 45-degree sets to be an NFL tackle.
Don't get too high on your guy Woody. These were the most recent reports on Risner (11/28 and 1/3).

And don't buy into the long/short arm hype. It's the feet that matter... https://www.profootballfocus.com/new...affect-ot-play

Forest Lamp had peculiar footwork also.
Keep building your lists.
Narrow it all down to 20 or 30 pretty soon.

BTW I read Pauline too.
He always gives good reports from Mobile.
Only Sweat beat Risner and only once.

And Dillard is wildly inconsistent.

Nutty, oh Nutty.
My aorta hurts.
Why you trying to make this so complicated ?

It's all about the footwork.

I guess we're not into the maulers anymore,
now that we know that
Jack Conklin
and
Cam Robinson
are injury prone.

When your list of DTs gets to 30 players,
then you know that is enough.

I like maulers. But they gotta keep the QB clean, too. Unlike Billy Price, Cam and Jack made it through their rookie seasons... injury prone...? Better "football takes" needed...

The CMB thought Orlando Brown Jr. would never be an NFL OT... they laughed at the thought of him going up against a guy like Joey Bosa. I hope they're right come Sunday...

Hopefully Sam Tevi doesn't get PR killed tomorrow. If it doesn't work out, maybe we could sign TJ Clemmings in the off-season... nobody seems to want him (other than the CMB).

If my list of above average DT's doesn't satisfy, we can always add Louis Nix to the mix... available... and another CMB favorite.

On a personal note... my baby sister had a valve replaced via open heart surgery. It ain't pretty. Whole families are required. My support, aorta, and understanding go out to the Mebane family. Somethings are more important than football... or "football takes"...

Hoping for the best for your sister, Nutty.

BTW what the hell does "injury prone" mean, anyway ?

It's too early for mocking for me...I expect at least a v3.

Connor Williams may be in for Xavier tonight, too.

My sister's surgery was 40+ years ago. And she is doing fine. But the surgery and post-op recovery were brutal and required several years of extensive testing, frequent doctor's visits, and stays in the hospital. It's not a one-parent endeavor.

I'm gonna leave "injury prone" definitions up to you... since you brought it up.

True mocking can't happen until after FA anyways. Unfortunately our forum won't be around at that time. One month and counting...
