I'll start with my fails:
-Didn't want Bosa. Didn't think he would fit at the time. At least I wanted DeForest, which woulda been pretty okay.
-Hated drafting MG3. Wanted Cam Erving there.
-I thought we got an epic steal with Manti Teo in the 2nd.
-Loved Braxton Miller, thought he was the next Edelman. I wanted him where we took Tuerk so whatevs.

Nailed it a few times:
-Big on Baker. Not for us, but knew he would be legit.
-So wanted Myles Jack. I like Hunter, but just imagine.
-I wanted Devondre Campbell where we took Josh Perry.
-I thought Eddie Jackson was a solid 2nd rounder. I do have to admit, though, I thought Forrest was a steal and was thrilled he fell.
didn't get on the Bosa bandwagon 'til after the draft, and then still with qualifiers/caveats.... didn't care for MG either.... (still) like Tevin Coleman a round or two later.... liked Cam Erving as well.

didn't like the Te'o maneuver, and.... ditto for the drafting/reach of HH....

ditto that,
Me thinks beachcomer is going places at the new Coliseum in the coming year.
Vice-President of Empire Operations-Coliseum Division is in your future.

I feel I need a General Council shake-up this offseason anyway.

2013

Right:

Lane Johnson (Top 10)
DJ Fluker is a guard
1st round pick should have been Star
Kiko Alonzo over Manti Te'o
Teron Armstead in the 2nd round

Wrong:

Quanterus Smith
Andre Ellington

2014:

Right:

Johnny Manziel is an over-rated head case
Jason Verrett won't hold up in the NFL
Brandon Linder
David Andrews
Louis Nix is over-rated and his knees won't hold up
Ryan Shazier
Ricardo Allen
EJ Gaines

Wrong:

Aaron Donald will not dominate at NFL level. Too small.
Kelvin Benjamin
Justin Gilbert
Cody Latimer
Chris Watt
David Yankey
Lache Seastrunk
Michael Sam

2015

Right:

Donavan Smith > TJ Clemmings
Brandon Scherff will be a better OG than OT
Tyler Lockett
David Johnson
Adrian Amos

Wrong:

DGB
Hau'oli Kikaha
Jeremy Langford
David Cobb
Tyrus Thompson

Patented grand slams for Boltnut.

It really hacks me that
we have been unable to come up with more at Oline
in the midrounds
over the years.

But you know that.

I just tend to massage the unit
during the season,
trying to get a functioning unit together.

That is mine as well. All teams have those stories though.

How about throwing Wes Welker out of our camp and onto the curbside ?

Pretty good stuff there.

Welker football life was fun and informative to watch. Belichick has an eye for talent. Picked him up after he bounced from SD to Miami. He clicked with Brady.

A trend for his style and size of receiver began due to their success...you see it with some teams Edelman continues to be that guy, Cole Beasley w/ Cowboys...that small quick receiver who can beat his guy on an out route or be used in the slot.

Chargers don't have that type of receiver...something to look at when managing cap and the draft.

Still the good teams know this and will bring the heat to move Rivers off his spot. The Chiefs game in KC 4th and 7 play of the game when he hits Travis in the slot. Beautiful pass. Afterwards, Rivers stated Travis is never in the slot. It's mostly Keenan.

They already have receivers who can high point. Gotta give these top defenses a mismatch they have to deal with especially in the playoffs. Rivers still has the quickest release in football give him a short quick guy who can beat a LB and move the chains. Just sayin...
