I don't doubt it. There is no oversight on moderator actions, so this probably happens often.

If there were an unbiased overseer who reviewed moderator actions and disciplined those who abused their power, things would be a lot better. But, alas, there isn't. So they can do whatever the heck they want. Must be nice

hahaha...sounds like NFL officiating nowadays.

Not quite. NFL officials have regulations to which they must comply and a Head of Officiating to whom they must answer if they make mistakes.

That was supposed to be me. I was given a crown to wear, but my profile was never actually updated.

I got tired of waiting, so ditched the crown and decided to wear my unconditional bias towards the Donks on my sleeve instead...
