Assuming the Chiefs get a 2nd or 3d round trade for Smith, t his is a good trade for them.

Yeah, they used a 1st rounder to get Mahomes (and traded up for him), but if he's everything they had hoped he would be, he was able to sit behind a solid veteran QB and learn the playbook for a year.

Chiefs also save money here and allow more flexibility for offseason signings.

Very interesting... strange deal for Washington, imo...

Cousins to Cleveland, Jets or Cardinals???
I think the Broncos go for a young qb in the draft.

Lol @ Washington.

Now just really hoping Cousins doesn’t go to Broncos.

I would be shocked if they gave up that much for him. I mean they are already giving Alex Smith a 4 year contract Worth 23.5mm/yr which is rich for Alex Smith... it’s not like they stole him on a small contract.

It was reported that the Browns tried to trade for him, so there was demand. I could be wrong, but with strong interest from at least two noted teams, demand drives prices up.

And Alex Smith would've been cheaper for the Redskins than Cousins would be. I could see them giving up, say, a 3d rounder.

ya this is strange
does washington think they're close?
closing in on them eagles and cowboys?
all they needed was an alex smith to out-duel Dak and Wentz?
strange indeed, but whatever, the owner is a special guy
coming from a charger fan, that means something.

i fully expect Denver to go all out for cousins
horseface cant draft a qb to save his horse-life

Is Washington with Smith better than Washington with Cousins? I don't see it...
