Yeah we are a long shot to get Dez. He wants to get the Cowboys back so it’ll be an NFC east team.

We have too many WRs right now. Dez isn't the player he was anymore since his injury.

When Dez balls he's what we want Mike Williams to be. Bryant when healthy may be a step slow but he still remains one of the best receivers to catch the ball in the air. He goes after it like Dennis Rodman does for a rebound. At the right price, might be worth a look to have another receiver to show Mike Dub how it's done and insurance that we have quality depth just in case Mikey gets injured.

lol TT may draft a receiver? That be nuts since we went blue chip with MW. I think Dez will have suitors better than us. Most likely the Redskins or Giants.

However, if he doesn't have many and is interested in us before camp starts, let's sign him at a bargain price.

Clearly this is a Bradley's ran draft. No more slow unathletic safeties or undersized LBs. Say bye bye to Addae and Jatavis soon or after this season.

Peter King's breakdown of the situation. I have a feeling Midtown is going to like this for some reason:

Dez Bryant Stats of the Week

Lots of hubbub about the Dallas Cowboys’ release of wide receiver Dez Bryant, who will be 30 years old this year and hasn’t been worth the big money he’s been making since he signed a huge contact in early 2015. A few points, numerically, back up my question about the Bryant cutting: What took the Cowboys so long?

I

Rishard Matthews has been a more productive NFL player over the past three years than Dez Bryant. Since opening day 2015:

II
If you want to scratch the 2015 season because Bryant missed seven games due to injury that year, let’s consider productivity after ’15.
Tyrell Williams and Jamison Crowder have more receiving yards than Bryant over the past two seasons. (Tyrell Williams. Hmmm. You’ve got to do a quick mind-bender there. Who’s he play for? Chargers.)

In all, 36 players have more catches than Bryant in 2016 and ’17 combined.
Bryant, per Pro Football Focus, led the NFLwith 12 drops in 2017.

For an occasionally divisive guy like Bryant, I don’t understand the logic of bringing him back in 2018, his age-30 season, at $12.5 million. Seems like throwing good money after bad to me.

One year deal on a prove it contract would be okay for me. What's not mentioned too much is that when you think Dallas, you think a running team. They aren't the Falcons, Packers, or Chargers. His numbers are down, but that all started when they switched quarterbacks. Yes he's not the same as he was a few years ago, but I don't think he's too far off either.
