This thread deserves a bump. Whatever Lott has done, it’s been working. And the Chargers don’t run out of gas in the 4th quarter this year.

Just as the CMB was saying don't let the door hit you on the way out due to the mass injuries last year, we can say kudos to Lott for having a part in conditioning our players this year to minimize injuries.

Perhaps it's running 440's in their bare feet, to the style of conditioning under the Parcell's era (power lifting), to the new facility Hoag Center with all the bells and whistles to help players recover to a stretching coach for flexibility. It's working...of course a dash of luck is always good. Football is a violent, collision sport.

Thank goodness Allen, Rivers, Bosa, Ingram, Gordon, Hunter, Hayward essentially our star players are healthy as we head into the last quarter of the season. Crossing fingers.

Good call.
If we do the unthinkable and win the superbowl this year
It’ll largely be due to being so relatively healthy

We are actually middle of the pack in terms of players on IR. Vast improvement from last season but we’re average.

Your quote on AL's quote: "Lynn said the Chargers will be the best conditioned team in the NFL. Don't know if he'll get there but good squad goal"

^deserves a bump. If the Chargers were in the Playoffs they would be fairly healthy compared to a lot of teams with key injuries.

Hope we continue to build on this past offseason in terms of conditioning and injury prevention, and not become complacent. Maybe incorporate more yoga?

Telesco said they switched up about 10-12 things in the off-season to try and get and stay healthier and that they also got "lucky".

We all go on about doing things differently (including myself), but at the end of the day, it really is luck. Football is just too violent of a sport to stay uninjured in especially when you have bigger and faster guys running into each other. Physics demands pain and injuries when that happens.

True. There are injuries that are unavoidable. What I liked was how guys recovered when hurt and how strong the team looked late in games. part of that has to be the conditioning but also the rotation. They managed to keep guys pretty fresh throughout each game.
