Default NFL Arrests - 2017

Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones was released from jail Wednesday after spending more than a day there following his latest arrest.

Jones, 33, was originally arrested early Tuesday morning on suspicion of assault disorderly conduct and obstructing police after officers responded to a Cincinnati hotel. But a felony charge of harassment with a bodily substance was added when Jones allegedly spit at a nurse while attempting to take a court-ordered blood sample during the booking process.

“I’m sorry this happened,”*he told reporters as he exited the Hamilton County jail. “It’d be different if I was beating people’s (expletive), but for touching someone? C'mon man.”

According to prosecutors, Jones was at the Millennium Hotel in Cincinnati and was "beating on different hotel room doors," when security intervened.

That's when Jones pushed and poked a hotel security employee in the eye, according to court documents.

While being arrested, Jones allegedly was head-butting and kicking at officers who were attempting to place him in a police vehicle. He was finally transported to the Hamilton County Jail around 12:25 a.m.

Jones has been arrested six times since being selected by the Tennessee Titans in the first round of the 2005 draft.

Marvin Lewis commented on the situation on Tuesday evening when speaking with the Cincinnati Enquirer.

"Obviously the events of last evening are not something that you want to have happen," Lewis said during a live internet show. "Unfortunately it did. Our people are investigating that. You don't want charges against any of your people. ... Our people will investigate, our security as well as the law enforcement here locally and it will play out and everything will kind of go from there.

"Adam came here from about a low as you could get and we gave him an opportunity, and he has done well with that opportunity. This latest thing will have to play out."

He'll do some serious jail time when he leaves the NFL, bank on it... That guy is a mess...

Quick to anger...Adam's achilles heel during games. Just when you thought Adam has matured he pulls is version of a three stooges act.

Get in his head and he will lose it. Dude hasn't reached a level of maturity needed to balance football w/ life. Scary to think where he will end up after football.

Must be a case of mistaken identity, as this seems way out of character for the accused:

Update - he was able to make bail

You get 1 extra point, unless your name is Brian Williams.

An assistant coach for the Pittsburgh Steelers faces aggravated assault and other charges after an altercation at a local bar Sunday night following the team's AFC wild-card win over the Miami Dolphins.

Joey Porter, 39, was taken into custody after he allegedly assaulted a doorman at a bar in Pittsburgh. Porter is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, resisting arrest and public drunkenness, according to a statement from the Pittsburgh Department of Public Safety.

I'm thinking $10 fine and 24 hours of probation.
